Pakistan Study Centre, University of the Punjab organized a seminar on “Building Progressive Nation: Iqbal & Quaid’s Message for Young Minds” on Thursday, January 23, 2025. Eminent journalist columnist, intellectual and political figure, Mr. Qayyum Nizami and Dr. Amjed Ali Khan, President Quaid & Iqbal Forum were the keynote speakers. Dr. Amjad Abbas Khan, Director of the Centre, also spoke on the occassion. The participants were introduced with the theme of the seminar while conducting the proceedings by PhD scholars of the Centre.

Addressing the session, Mr. Qayyum Nizam stressed on the significance of the Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s principles in the current scenario. He also highlighted the charismatic features of Quaid’s personality and said that that in the light of these features, the youth could design a better future.

Dr. Amjed Ali Khan also highlighted the importance of the Allama Muhammad Iqbal’s thoughts by giving the concept of Mard-i-Momin and Mard-i-Kamil. Meanwhile, he shared and discussed the messages of Allama Iqbal which could be helpful for the young minds to get a guiding path in the future.

While concluding, Dr. Amjad Abbas Khan, Director of the Centre emphasized the the youth should follow the thoughts of Allama Iqbal and the principles of Quaid-i-Azam  for the progress of the nation.

The PhD & M. Phil. scholars of the Centre actively participated in the discussion, asking a variety of questions and sharing their perspectives.
