Lahore: (Tuesday, December 16, 2025): Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Ali said that we are all the same and that for peace and security in Pakistan, we must share in each other’s joys and sorrows. He was speaking at a Christmas cake-cutting ceremony organized by the Punjab University Administrative and Technical Staff Association and Christian employees at Faisal Auditorium. The event was attended by Principal Kinnaird College Prof Dr Iram Anjum, Registrar Dr. Ahmad Islam, Senior Pastor Anwar Fazal, President Employees Association Chaudhry Basharat Mahmood, and a large number of employees. In his address, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Muhammad Ali extended Christmas and New Year greetings to the Christian employees. He said that the university stands with the Christian community in the joy of this festival, acknowledging their immense services to Pakistan. He added that people of all religions in Pakistan enjoy equal rights. He also appreciated Chaudhry Basharat Mahmood and his team for their efforts in organizing the excellent event. Dr. Iram Anjum said that it is a blessing to have a teacher like Muhammad Ali. She stated that to shine like stars on earth, we must fulfill our responsibilities in the best possible manner. Senior Pastor Anwar Fazal said that there is a need to follow the message of love, peace, and brotherhood of Hazrat Eesa (A.S). He added that in the present era, people try to take advantage of each other’s weaknesses, and to counter this, we must follow the teachings of our forefathers. He congratulated the Vice Chancellor and his team on organizing an excellent Christmas ceremony at Punjab University. Chaudhry Basharat Mahmood extended Christmas greetings to the Christian employees and thanked Vice Chancellor Dr. Muhammad Ali for his cooperation in making the event successful. Later, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Muhammad Ali and others cut the Christmas cake at the ceremony.
